VOICE LESSONS
Deirdre Smith (Dee) inherited her love of music and her voice from her mom. She remembers sitting around the piano listening to her mom and aunts sing everything from country to gospel to R&B to folk. Listening to this mix of genres helped to create her unique sound.
Dee has written, produced and performed numerous commercial jingles and songs for TV & film for Nike, Strident, Fox, BET and many others. She has worked with the likes of ?uestlove of The Roots and the legendary Bootsy Collins. She is co-executive producer of the soundtrack for Dark Horse's graphic novel, The Truth, and has two singles on that soundtrack, “Dreams” and “Pass It On”. Dee holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater from Northwestern University and has been singing, acting and dancing for over 20 years. She has been teaching voice privately and with the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks for over 10+ years.
